Frida Kahlo The Frame Recycled Bag
Frida Kahlo's The Frame (El marco) was groundbreaking not only for its unique use of reverse glass painting but also because it was the first work by a Mexican artist of the 20th century to be purchased by a major international museum. The Frame is a 1938 self-portrait by Frida Kahlo, the first 20th-century Mexican work acquired by a major international museum. Originally bought in Oaxaca and later acquired by The Louvre, it’s now displayed at the Centre Pompidou.
